The forest fire sweeping many parts of Canada is continuing to expand, with the burned areas reaching about 7.2 million hectares, making it an unprecedented blaze.

Despite the country's annual preparations and precautions for the wildfire season, the fires this year kept raging with burned areas far surpassing expectations and the previous years.

In Donnie Creek, with the largest patches of torched forest in British Columbia, the extinguished fires are reignited. Inside the forest, the smoke rising from fires can also be seen curling upwards.

Now the burned area in this region has exceeded 550,000 hectares, surpassing the size of the BC forest fire in 2017.
